TARPEY’S CITY ROLE

LEGENDARY Non-League striker Dave Tarpey has joined the backroom team at Combined Counties Premier South side Reading City as forward coach.
Tarpey, 35, played for Henley Town, Basingstoke Town, and Farnborough before joining Maidenhead United in 2014.
He scored 44 goals in 41 league games in the 2016–17 season as Maidenhead won the National League South championship, setting a new record for the competition. He then signed a pro deal with Barnet but suffered a serious injury on his home debut.
