■ CUP specialists Horsham again bested higher-league opposition, seeing off Maidstone.
The hosts got off to a perfect start when Dan Ajakaiye turned home Lucas Rodrigues’ cross in the second minute and continued to have the better of matters for the first half-hour, although the Stones came into the game towards half-time.
The visitors kept up the pressure after the interval without really threatening and it was the Hornets who scored the second goal. The outstanding Charlie Hester-Cook was denied by Alex Andre Junior but Reece Meekums was on hand...
