Perfect return to Hawks for boss

A STOPPAGE-time free-kick from substitute Andrew Briggs gave manager Shaun Saunders the perfect start to his return to Whitehawk.
Briggs hit a well-struck set-piece into the top corner from an inviting central position after a handball decision against Invicta captain Dean Rance just outside the penalty area.
The result saw Hawks move off the bottom and Invicta fall out of the playoff places.
Set-piece specialist Briggs had taken over the captain’s armband after coming on for Charlie Walker in the 58th minute.
