IT was Dartford’s turn to make the trip down the A21 to the Pilot Field and the home of Hastings United.
The home side started the brighter with the best early chance falling to Davide Rodari.
He picked the ball up 20 yards out, turned and shot over the goalkeeper but the crossbar denied him an early goal.
The game then swung in the Darts’ favour, with a mistake from the Hastings backline gifting them a penalty which was smashed down the middle of the goal, past-Hastings’ new on loan keeper Matt Kerbey, by Samir Carruth...
