SPENNYMOOR TOWN overcame Alfreton Town on a wet and windy afternoon in Derbyshire thanks to an impressive late set-piece effort from Matty Dolan.
The visitors saw the first sight on goal as Isaac Fletcher picked up Glen Taylor’s flick-on, but he could only fire his shot into the side-netting.
Fletcher then found himself with space down the left again for Spennymoor after an untimely slip at the back from Max Hunt, and he crashed a powerful effort against the crossbar as the away side looked for the breakthrough.
