YORK City came from behind to down Darlington and begin their bid to win the FA Trophy for a third time.
Matty Cornish put the visiting Quakers ahead early on when he pounced on a loose pass from a defender before steering a low effort past keeper Harrison Male.
It stung City, and they equalised almost immediately when David Ajiboye scored his first for the club with an angled finish after running onto Ashley Nathaniel-George’ pass.
