Sad Sports caught short by Appiah

IT WASN’T pretty but a late Kwesi Appiah goal was enough for Boreham Wood to see off Eastbourne Borough.
It was the visitors who controlled most of the game and if it wasn’t for some excellent saves from Boreham Wood keeper Nathan Ashmore they would have been out of sight.
Sports right-back Courtney Clarke forced a good save from Ashmore on six minutes.
Four minutes later, Wood forward Tyrone Marsh tested Joe Wright from a free-kick.
