A RARE moment of quality settled this miserable affair as the wind denied Boston and Alvechurch a proper game in Lincolnshire.
The Church, playing with the wind, enjoyed plenty of possession as the Pilgrims struggled to make simple passes with accuracy but failed to trouble keeper Aidan Stone until the 39th minute. Ammar Dyer recovered possession wide on the left, danced infield and clipped the crossbar from the edge of the area.
He then fired narrowly wide three minutes later after a similar run.
