BASFORD UNITED overcame a two-league deficit to stun 2023 winners FC Halifax Town following a tense penalty shootout.
Both teams were perfect across the first 11 kicks before it fell to Adam Senior to keep the National League side’s hopes alive.
But Senior sent his spot-kick flying over the bar thus handing Basford a historic victory.
Halifax dominated the ball for much of the first half and looked the likelier side to take the lead.
