Bowers suffer as Athletic hit three

CARSHALTON produced a controlled performance as they overcame Bowers & Pitsea yesterday.
The hosts started well and had two big chances in the first half but failed to convert. First, Liam Jones battled well before crossing to Alfie Evans but the hosts’ top scorer could only fire wide. Then, Evans Kouassi slipped round the outside of Abdul Sankoh but could only blaze over when he should have hit the target at least.
The returning David Hughes then made a couple of key saves for Bowers as he denied Sharon Ifeany...
