Francis Babalola put VCD ahead, but Cameron Smart, Sam Bayford, with a penalty, and Bradley Ryan, put the Dalers 3-1 up just after the break.
Ollie Freeman and Conor Dymond levelled things up, and Bayford’s second penalty put the hosts 4-3 up. Nathan Olowale made it 4-4, before Bayford completed his hat-trick.
Having started the scoring, Babalola completed the ten goal thriller from the spot, eleven minutes from time!
