Blyth boys level pegging as Town reach NPL East

NORTHERN LEAGUE

BLYTH Town will be on an equal footing with neighbours Blyth Spartans for the first time next season after four divisions separated the two clubs seven years ago.
Both will now ply their trade in NPL East division after a late show saw Blyth Town win 4-2 on penalties at Newcastle Blue Star.
A sell-out crowd of 2,151 saw Brandon Slater rattle the Blue Star crossbar in a tight opening 45 minutes, Star ahead eight minutes into the second period.
