Spurling equaliser sets Shrimpers on path to success

EASTERN COUNTIES LGE

HARWICH & PARKESTON earned promotion to Step 5 after winning 5-4 on penalties in their Division One North play-off final against Stanway Pegasus.
The match had ended 2-2. It was Harwich who took the lead thanks to a Luke Mayhew goal. Stanway responded as Tom Lewis first equalised with a header from a corner and then put the home side ahead with a stunning strike from range.
Stanway held their advantage until Luke Spurling drew them level. Harwich managed to keep their nerve from the penalty spot to edge a thrilling contest.
