TAKELEY will play at Step 4 for the first time in their history after they beat Woodford Town 2–0 in the play-off final at Full Vision Stadium.
Takeley took the lead after 33 minutes, when a Lewis Wicker corner was headed on by John Clarke and struck a Woodford defender, deflecting the ball into the net for an own goal.
Woodford threw everything at Takeley in the second half, but the ball wouldn’t fall for them.
With seven minutes of normal time remaining, Clarke was perfectly placed to score the second and decisive goal.
