LAST-GASP GROAT IS THE GOAT AT UNITED

EASTBOURNE UNITED will face Crowborough Athletic in the Southern Combination Premier Division play-off final this afternoon after a dramatic 2-1 semi-final home win over Haywards Heath Town.
In Tuesday night’s battle of third versus fourth, it was Eastbourne’s Arthur Groat who proved the hero, scoring a 92nd minute winner direct from a corner to send his side through.
But they had to do it the hard way as Heath went ahead just seconds into the start of the second half when great work by Liam Benson found Flynn Bolton to score.
