LANDON STEPS UP AS BOSS

ATHERSLEY Recreation have promoted Rob Landon to be the new manager of the Northern Counties Division One side.
Landon had been number two to Paul Clarkson, who was sacked after 18 months in charge.
Clarkson was relieved of his duties at Sheerien Park after the Penguins lost 4-1 at Wombwell Town last Saturday and finished in 18th place.
He had replaced Jimmy Whitehead as boss after he parted company with the club in September 2023.
Richard Liversedge and Julie Briscoe remain on the coaching staff.
