AMBITIOUS Maldon & Tiptree have made a statement of intent – by luring top defender Tom Eastman straight from the National League.
The Isthmian North Jammers have completed a number of top transfers since Barrie and Scott Drewitt-Barlow acquired the club and its 20-acre stadium site on February 5.
But the arrival of Eastman arguably tops the lot with the 33-year-old having turned out in Non-League’s top-flight for Dagenham & Redbridge last season.
