Moors move is next step for Creaney

The 30-year-old striker has gone full-time to team up with Matt Taylor’s Moors after six successful seasons at West Midlands rivals .

Since joining from in 2019, Creaney has scored 108 goals in 202 appearances for the Lambs, and played a pivotal role in Andy Peaks’ men winning backto-back promotions to the .

He admits it was a difficult decision to leave The Lamb but is relishing the task ahead.

“I’ve loved my time at Tamworth and want to thank everyone there but this is such an exciting challenge,” Creaney told the Moors website.

“I spoke to the gaffer here, spoke with [director of ] Stephen Ward and they are so passionate about what Solihull Moors can achieve and I want to be part of that.

“There are so many good things happening around the club and I can’t wait to start an exciting new chapter here.”

Creaney scored 19 goals last season as the Lambs achieved a top ten finish in their first season back in the National League.

Taylor said: “Dan has a proven scoring record at this level. He also works hard and links things up and he still has that hunger to do well.

“We are so pleased that he sees his future here and we look forward to working with him when the players report back this week.”

Tamworth boss Andy Peaks said: “Ultimately the offer he received was simply too good to turn down – and one we couldn’t get anywhere near to matching.”
