■ THE weather proved to be the biggest winner, with a mixture of brilliant sunshine and torrential rain providing the backdrop to a drab encounter.
There was no lack of endeavour from the home side, but they badly missed the presence of injured top scorer Kyle Hawley, while the visitors rarely threatened.
After an instantly forgettable first 45 minutes, Avro upped the tempo after the interval, and spent most of the half camped in around the Town penalty area.
