■ HASTINGS United were forced to apologise to opponents Broadbridge Heath for a wasted trip to the Pilot Field after the fixture fell foul of the wet weather yesterday.
The U’s match at home to Heath was called off with the visitors having already arrived and United said on X: “The match referee has deemed an area of the pitch unplayable therefore today’s game has now been postponed.
“We apologise to our opponents @thebearsbbhfc and anyone who has travelled to attend today’s game.”
