Leyton loanee sparks frenzied second-half

FOUR second-half goals saw Welling United put Canvey Island to the sword after an uneventful first 45 at Park View Road.
Greg Cundle had two efforts saved by Canvey goalkeeper Lewis Greene whilst the visitors’ best first-half chance fell to Darius-Gabriel Ghinea, whose 20-yard effort was sweetly struck but off target.
Greene saved from Leyton’s teenage loanee Zac Hambury before half-time but four minutes after the restart, the Wings were ahead.
