■ HEATON Stannington progressed to the next round in emphatic fashion, despite the atrocious conditions.
It was the visitors who had the first clear chance with a long-range Jack Clarkson shot comfortably saved. After 13 minutes, Heaton had their first clear chance when Pearson went one on one, but Aycliffe keeper Kyle Seymour made the first of many fine saves. The first goal came after 20 minutes as Ben Milburn headed home from a corner.
