BASFORD progressed to the next round as they overcame in-form Matlock at the Proctor Cars Stadium yesterday afternoon.
A pulsating first-half saw numerous goal scoring chances for either side, with Basford taking the lead after nine minutes when Jake Oram parried a long range effort and Jack Goodman followed up to net the rebound.
But Matlock were level just ten minutes later when a corner from the right found Harlain Mbayo, whose header was cleared off the line.
