SAM COX’S Wealdstone defeated ten-man Southend United in a tight contest.
A first-half goal from Olufela Olomola proved decisive as the Stones edged the Shrimpers to book their place in the second round draw for back-to-back seasons, after a 31-year wait.
Wealdstone boss Sam Cox said: “The boys thoroughly deserved the win – from start to finish, we looked the dominant side. It’s a great achievement for the boys to do what they did and manage the game with such control and professionalism.
