WHITEHAWK nearly had lift-off from the first whistle in this stalemate with Billericay Town.
Destiny Ojo fed a pass into the box, enabling three Hawks to fire goalwards but none of Archie Harland-Goddard, Charlie Lambert or Harry Lodovica could convert.
Three minutes later, defender Grant Hall sent a whizzing half-volley over the visitors’ bar.
Then, Billericay’s Liam Nash fired a powerful free-kick on target, forcing Hawks keeper Francis Hurl into a smart stop.
