Comrades battle back to hold Boatmen

BERKHAMSTED and Sholing played out a lively, well-matched contest at the Glencar Stadium, sharing the points after a frantic second-half exchange of goals.
Both sides created good openings in the first period. After 14 minutes Michael Harding laid the ball off neatly for Jonathan Lacey, whose angled drive was held comfortably by Dan McCarthy. At the other end Charlie Horlock reacted well to a deflected Byron Mason effort, before Lacey released Ryan Blake after 31 minutes, the forward flicking wide with McCarthy stranded.
