YEOVIL Town survived a scare to beat National League South side Maidstone United on penalties after an uninspiring 1-1 draw.
In a pedestrian first period, Yeovil’s best chance came early on when the industrious James Daly crossed for Aaron Jarvis whose header was saved by Maidstone keeper Lenny Holden.
Maidstone had defended stoutly and went close through Daly’s driving run and shot from mid-range that whistled wide of Holden’s near upright.
