Former Premier League striker Jamie Cureton will have the chance to extend his remarkable career beyond the age of 50!
The former Norwich City and Queens Park Rangers centre forward has been appointed the new manager of title-chasing Eastern Counties Division One North outfit Kings Park Rangers.
Cureton has turned out for Colchester United, Bristol Rovers and Reading in the Football League and has coached Arsenal’s academy and managed Bishop’s Stortford, Enfield and Cambridge City.
He parted company from the latter in September and joined Great Cornard-based Kings Park in October.
Claiming his first goal for his new club shortly afterwards, Cureton became the first player to have netted in all of the top ten tiers of English football.
A Kings Park statement said: “At 50, Jamie remains passionate about the game and is ready to lead us to success! Welcome, gaffer!
“John transformed our club and leaves us in an incredibly strong position.
2His dedication, passion, and tactical brilliance brought success we’ll never forget.
“Polly will now step back from the touchline to focus on developing King Park Rangers in his role as club owner, ensuring our continued growth both on and off the pitch.”
