LEKAN MAJOYEGBE’S second-half finish saw strugglers Welling United earn a rare home win over Wingate & Finchley.
After a fortnight’s break from action for both sides, they lacked much cohesion early and there was little noteworthy action, Welling striker Ade Azeez headed wide while Eddie Allsopp curled a 20-yard effort wide from distance down the other end.
Welling broke the deadlock on 62 minutes and di so through an unlikely source.
