Manchester City’s treble winners lit up the world stage in 2023, but a Step 5 club just six miles down the road is looking to go one better.

If Pep Guardiola’s multi-million-pound superstars skirt around the south of the city for 20-odd minutes, they might come across West Didsbury & Chorlton, whose own road to Wembley continues with an FA Vase last-32 tie at home to lower-ranked Nelson on Saturday.
