ONE-GOAL WONDERS IN ANOTHER SLENDER WIN

LEWES recorded their third consecutive 1-0 home victory in a game that failed to warm up a crowd of 965 at The Dripping Pan The visitors started the stronger of the two sides, with Sam Smart twice coming close to opening the scoring, but was denied by the Lewes defence. At the other end Danny Bassett’s volley was well saved by Gabriel Ortelli in the visitor’s goal.
The opening goal eventually arrived in the 38th minute when Lewes were awarded a penalty.
Danny Bassett made no mistake in dispatching the spot kick.
