CARSHALTON claimed the spoils in their relegation six-pointer against bottom club Canvey.
The Robins are now a point and two places above the drop zone while the Gulls are ten points adrift with ten matches to play.
After a chance at each end, Canvey took the lead in the 17th minute, a free-kick from Conor Hubble being headed home by Mike Finneran.
In the 23rd minute, Carshalton drew level from the spot after a handball in the penalty area. Bryan Ifeanyi sent Jacob Marsden the wrong way.
