Danny Forrest had a good feeling about Liversedge this campaign – before they’d even started pre-season!
The former Thackley boss – who played for Halifax, Crawley, Barrow and Guiseley – took over at Sedge in the summer after the club had tumbled out of Step 4 into the Northern Counties East League.
It was the Yorkshire outfit’s second relegation in three seasons and Forrest, 41, felt they needed a reset.
And how. Last weekend Forrest’s side beat Parkgate – their eighth win on the bounce – to seal the NCEL Premier title with games to spare.
