The Shrimpers booked their place under the arch with a hard-fought victory over battling National League North side Southport in front of a capacity 5,600 crowd at Haig Avenue.
And much like their run to Wembley in the National League Play-Offs last May, they had to do it the hard way after Chris Sze had given Southport a shock first-half lead.
