It’s a Mex milestone

I WAS interested to read in The NLP about the Mexborough Montagu Cup final which has been played on the same ground since 1896-97.
While we can’t match playing on the same ground, we do boast a cup that goes back to 1888 and is still played for on Easter Monday.
The cup in question is the
Lord Jersey Cup and was donated by Lord Jersey and was played for by the villages near Bicester in North Oxfordshire.
The only time that it has not been played was during the two World Wars and during Covid lockdown. To date the final has been held 138 times.
