ADAM Lakeland says the opportunity to take charge of Morecambe was simply too good to refuse despite dropping back to Step 2.
The 41-year-old has stepped down from his role at as FC Halifax boss to join the Shrimp, who were relegated from Non-League’s top flight this season.
Lakeland led the Shay-men to an eighth-place finish this term, narrowly missing out on the play-offs.
