McCANN GETS HIS REWARD FOR LEAP OF FAITH

ANDY McCann remembers feeling on edge before his side of strangers met each other to represent the Cheshire League in this season’s FA Inter-League Cup.
“It’s a bit weird,” he told The NLP.
“You pick a team, and it’s a leap of faith because the lads don’t know each other.”
He need not have worried.
Cheshire, victors in the inaugural edition of the then NLS Cup in 2004, have reached the final again following wins against Yorkshire Amateur, West Yorkshire, and holders The Arthurian League.
