CLUBS ON MOVE AS NWC TOP CUT TO 20

THE FA’s club allocations for Steps 5 and 6 spared 33 teams from relegation on Thursday – but the biggest reprieve was granted to a volunteer.
After three years scheduling fixtures for a North West Counties League (NWCFL) top flight consisting of 24 members – that’s 552 completed games each season – Jeff Voller will co-ordinate calendars for just 20 from next term.
To help, Cheadle Town and West Didsbury & Chorlton move sideways to the Midland League’s Premier Division.
