NON-LEAGUE graduate and top coach Tom Shaw has been handed a golden opportunity to manage in the Championship after being named joint first-team coach at Lincoln City alongside Chris Cohen.
The pair step up from their roles as Imps’ assistant coaches in the wake of Michael Skubala’s departure to Bristol City.
Former England C international Shaw, 39, was a popular player at a number of clubs including Tamworth, Alfreton and Chester, where he was player-manager, before taking charge of Gainsborough Trinity in 2021.
