BEST WESTERN! WASPS BUZZING FOR RETURN

WINCANTON Town say they are delighted to be able to “renew old rivalries” in the Western League after winning an appeal to return after a two-year absence, writes JON COUCH.
The Wasps have spent the last two seasons exiled in the Wessex League, finishing second from bottom in the premier division last term.
Their original application to return to their spiritual home of the Western League was denied upon release of the FA National League System allocations for 2026-27.
But their subsequent appeal was upheld on Friday.
