Non-League clubs across the land braved the heatwave to get back on the grass yesterday as early preparations for the 2026-27 season officially got underway.
Amid sweltering temperatures nationwide, players and coaches dusted down the cobwebs for the start of pre-season training, while some friendly fixtures even took place to kickstart the summer schedule.
Billericay Town were one of many clubs to return to work with Danny Scopes’ men getting ready for the start of their new National League South campaign following promotion from the Isthmian Premier last season.
