BISHOP Auckland edged home in this al-Northern League affair at Birtley, where the Hoops found themselves two down inside the opening ten minutes.
Amar Purewal beat the offside trap to get on the end of a ball over the top and fire Bishops ahead off the inside of a post.
Gary Martin doubled the visitors’ lead four minutes later from Craig Moody’s set up as Bishops got off to a flyer.
Birtley fought back to level the scores before the interval, James Proctor scoring on the half hour, while Regan Paterson’s equalise...
