TWYFORD HELPS IN SINKING SWIFTS

STOURPORT SWIFTS 1 HANLEY TOWN 2 By Wendy Atkinson

HANLEY TOWN held on to victory against Stourport Swifts as Jake Twyford came away with a goal and an assist for the visitors.
It was Swifts who went closest to an opener courtesy of an acrobatic Joseph Hull effort which sailed over.
Higher-graded Hanley responded and Reece Jones went on a driving run before finding Corey Muirhead whose effort flew just wide.
The opener came after 39 minutes with Twyford’s corner finding captain Joel Stair to head home.
