OONEY’S OOKING TO STRIVE WITH IVES

TOMMY Cooney reckons he can bring the glory days back to St Ives Town after taking over as manager.
Cooney, 31, joins the Ives after a spell as assistant at Royston Town, replacing club legend Ricky Marheineke at the helm following his resignation a fortnight ago.
Ives are looking to recover from a difficult start in Southern League Division One Central after dropping back down into Step 4 last season.
A former Republic of Ireland Under 17 international, Cooney enjoyed a spell as manager at Northwood, but it was at Arlesey Town where he made a real impact as manager....
