TOP scorer Christian Doidge kept Forest Green’s promotion charge on track with the only goal to deny struggling Guiseley.
Doidge headed home his 24th goal of the season to take the points back to The New Lawn, but it was a day to forget for Guiseley counterpart Jake Cassidy, who was sent off for elbowing Mark Ellis.
And it brought a smile back to the face of manager Mark Cooper, who demanded a reaction from his players following the shock home defeat to North Ferriby last week.
