U’S HIT LEAGUE SUMMIT AGAIN

SUTTON returned to the top of the National League with a hard-fought victory against a Barrow side who were kept in the game by some good saves from goalkeeper Joel Dixon in the second half.

Goals from Aswad Thomas, Josh Taylor and Moses Emmanuel got the U’s three points in an exciting encounter. Sutton manager Paul Doswell hailed his side’s performances.
He said: “I felt we were in control of the game and had we made it 4-1 we would have been comfortable but it was a little nervous towards the end. However it’s a great three points.”
