HEED HAVE GOT THE SHAKES AS RICKY DELIVERS SUCKER PUNCH

FOR the third successive home game, Gateshead were hit by a costly late sucker-punch, with Luke Garrard’s Boreham Wood pinching an 87th-minute equaliser through Ricky Shakes.
The Wood were not at their best, but Gateshead couldn’t put the game to bed, despite an improved second-half display.
Substitute Jordan Burrow should have done so 12 minutes from time, but he put his seven-yard free header wide.
It was a miss that was punished when the Heed failed to deal with Bruno Andrade’s right-side corner and Shakes swept home.
