SUNDAY SIDE IN ‘FIXING’ STORM

A SUNDAY league manager has been banned from football for five years for ordering his side to deliberately concede a goal that cost their bitter rivals the league title.
Boss Sean Ligocki was found guilty of telling his Peacehaven DPA side to throw their match against Real Rosehill in the Sussex Sunday Premier Division last May.
Both sides were in with a chance of winning the league with Real needing to win by two clear goals and Peacehaven a draw. With seconds left and Real leading 3-2, Ligocki was said to have shouted “let them score” to his players. Peacehaven co...
