BLUES’ DUO JOIN

GARY WADDOCK has used his friendship with former Republic of Ireland team-mate Mick McCarthy to full effect by clinching the permanent signings of two young Ipswich Town talents.
The Aldershot Town boss has landed both midfielder Adam McDonnell and defender George Fowler on deals until the end of the 2018-19 season after boss impressed during loan spells at the EBB Stadium in the first half of the season.
McDonnell, 20, made 19 appearances for the Shots, scoring three goals, and says Waddock and his assistant James Rowe were the reasons for making the move.
