U’S IN A STU AS STONES INFLICT FIRST LOSS OF ‘18

SUTTON United failed to capitalise on Macclesfield Town’s defeat at Dover Athletic as the U’s tasted defeat in the league for the first time in 2018 at Maidstone United, who themselves recorded backto- back home wins this season for the first time.
Stuart Lewis’s winner 15 minutes from time was enough to settle this clash of the 3G clubs, leaving Sutton to rue a missed opportunity to go back to the top of the table.
